The application is easily installed in your computer, you need to sign in with your username and password. It permits you to exchange messages with anyone on the YM server. It basically makes you aware whenever you have new mail. Yahoo Messenger, so often abbreviated as YM, has recently included Email into its IM service.
The application allows you to add contacts, share files, pictures and photos. You are now able to do a video call and voice call. Save a conversation, print it, cut, copy and paste.
It does not have a chat room specifically for conducting conversations since being disabled in December 14 2012.
Other attributes include voicemail, webcams, client customization and avatars.
Yahoo 8 is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in instant messaging category and is available to all software users as a free download.
