Download FileZilla Server
Download the installation package from the FileZilla website (Chinese.
- FileZilla download address: https://www.filezilla.cn/download
1) for FileZilla clients and servers, click «Download» from the server 」.
2) select «FileZilla Server 0.9.46 Chinese version 」.
Save it to the appropriate directory to complete the download.
Install the FileZilla Server
1) double-click the «filezilla_server_cn-0_9_46.exe» file to start installation.
2) display the FileZilla terms and click «I accept 」.
3) use the default standard installation and click «next 」.
4) use the default installation directory and click «next 」.
5) by default, the FileZilla service is started when Windows is started, and the management port of FileZilla is 14147. There is no special requirement here. Click «next 」.
6) the following screen is displayed, indicating that the installation is successful.
Click close to complete FileZilla Server installation.
Connect to the FileZilla management page
1) after the installation is complete, the following page is displayed to connect to the FileZilla Server. You do not need a password to connect from the local machine. Click «OK 」.
2) the following page is displayed, indicating that the FileZilla Server is successfully connected.
2) add a user
1) click «user» directly or click «edit»> «user» in sequence 」.
2) on the user page, click «add 」.
3) here, the user name is called «ZABBIXCC», and the group is not created yet.. If many users connect to the server through FTP, you can use groups for management.
4) select «password» and enter the password.
5) click «Shared folders»> «add 」.
6) select the www directory under drive C and click «OK 」.
7) click «OK» to complete the minimum configuration for using FileZilla.
After adding a user, you can remotely connect to the FileZilla Server through FTP.
* Scenario description *
— two servers: server1 (node1), server2 (node2)
— various shared resources, among which a shared disk: «f:» and a shared IP address.
— I need to work on shared disk f:\ (homedirs of FTP users).
We suppose to start with all resources linked to node1.
Othewise go to cluster manager and move them on node1.
** Install step **
— install Filezilla Server in server1 (node1) on shared disk in «F:\Filezilla Server»
. service started maually
. interface started manually
. do not start service and interface after setup completes
— on «cluster manager» move resources (disk f:, etc…) on node2 (server2)
— install Filezilla Server in server2 (node2) on shared disk in «F:\Filezilla Server» (overwrite previous installation)
. same setup selections as before (on server1)
— On node2, create new resource «Generic Service» in your preferred cluster group
. give a name, give description, select resource type (generic service), select group.
. example: name:»Filezilla Server», description:»FTP Server», resource type:»Generic Service», group:»Group 0″.
. select possible «filezilla server» service owners (which nodes can handle «filezilla server» service)
. example: i choosed all nodes (2 nodes available)
. select dependencies: i choosed the disk f: (where filezilla is installed and where it works (where are located the homedirs of ftp users)), and the cluster IP address (the virtual address)
. give the «Service name»: «FileZilla Server» (type it exactly as shown in services.msc, under properties of Filezilla Server service). Don’t use «Display name».
. «Start parameters» left empty
. registry keys replicated left empty
— now the service is created, but stopped (offline). in cluster manager start the service (bring online).
— Start the filezilla server interface, create a user, giving his home dir in a subfolder of disk f:
** Testing step **
— from a remote PC try to connect to the FTP server using the cluster shared IP address, and login with the user created before. you should succeed.
— now try to migrate the resources from node2 to node1 and replicate the connect and login test. you should succeed again (hope).
The clustered filezilla server is up and running, good work.
