Установка операционной системы на компьютер предполагает либо наличие лицензионного диска, либо создание загрузочного DVD или USB-накопителя с ISO образом Windows. Раньше пользователям приходилось отдельно загружать файл с ОС и скачивать программу для записи загрузочных дисков. Но с недавнего времени компания Microsoft выпустила программу Media Creation Tool, которая позволяет автоматически создавать диск или установочную флешку с дистрибутивом Windows 10. Данная программа работает только с файлами «десятки», поэтому загрузить образ Windows 7 или 8.1 с ее помощью у вас не получится.
При работе программа не требует ISO образ с системой. Загрузка осуществляется автоматически с официальных серверов Microsoft.
Media Creation Tool представлена в виде пошагового мастера. Вначале она предложит на выбор 2 действия: обновить текущую систему на вашем ПК или создать загрузочный диск Windows 10. После этого необходимо выбрать версию операционной системы и ее разрядность. Если на вашем ПК установлено 3Гб ОЗУ и более, рекомендуется выбирать 64-х разрядную редакцию.
Важное примечание: если вы выбрали установку системы на ваш ПК, необходимо ставить версию Windows 10, аналогичную текущей ОС. Например, если на компьютере стоит Windows 7 Home, вам не удастся загрузить Pro-версию «десятки». Обратное действие возможно.

The Media Creation Tool for Windows 10 Version 2004 May 2020 Update has been officially released with the general availability (GA) or Windows 10 May 2020 Update. Media Creation Tool can be used to in-place upgrade the PC to latest version of Windows 10, or to create an ISO image of Windows 10 or Windows 10 installation media on USB flash drive or DVD to install on another PC.
The latest version of Media Creation Tool for Widnows 10 Version 2004 has file version of 10.0.19041.1 with the following hash checksums:

If you just want to upgrade to Windows 10 May 2020 Update, you can also opt to download just the Update Assistant (Windows10Upgrade9252.exe) to perform in-place upgrading, which should be similar to getting the Windows 10 May 2020 Update to Windows Update. Essentially you don’t have to download Update Assistant or Media Creation Tool if you just want to upgrade your system, as Windows Update should deliver it to your device, unless you’re not getting offered.
Media Creation Tool fetches a XML file that details all the Windows 10 v.2004 ESD files that it should downloads. The products.xml metadata, contains inside products_20200514.cab cabinet file, can be downloaded from the following direct download link:

The Windows 10 Version 2004 ESD that is downloaded by Media Creation Tool v.1903 has the build version 19041.264.200511-0456.vb_release_svc_refresh, indicating that the ESD has KB4556803 that pushes the OS Build to 19041.264 after upgrade. In actual, more cumulative updates and security updates may be downloaded and installed by MCT during installation process, which may bring Windows 10’s OS Build version beyond 19041.264.
If you’re adventurous, you can also download the ESD (Electronic Software Distribution) files by using the direct download links contained inside the products.xml file, and then convert the ESD to ISO disc image.
Do note that the ISO images created by the MCT may not be identical (e.g. checksum not matched) with official ISO images released by Microsoft. MCT only verifies that the integrity of ESD it downloads from Microsoft’ before it converts it locally to an ISO.

Загрузка любой версии Windows 10 в Media Creation Tool
Для того, чтобы скачать любую, включая старую версию Windows 10 ISO с помощью официальной утилиты Media Creation Tool, выполните следующие простые шаги:
- Загрузите bat-файл для выбора версий Windows 10 с официальной страницы разработчика https://github.com/AveYo/MediaCreationTool.bat (пункт «Download ZIP» справа вверху, а можете взять код файла ниже на странице или по адресу pastebin.com/bBw0Avc4 и вручную создать файл BAT) и распакуйте его.
- Запустите загруженный BAT-файл MediaCreationTool.bat. При срабатывании SmartScreen, нажмите «Подробнее», а затем — «Выполнить в любом случае».
- Выберите нужную версию Windows 10 для скачивания.
- Утилита автоматически загрузит с серверов Майкрософт нужную версию MediaCreationTool.exe и запустит её с нужными параметрами (если вы запустите старую версию MCT вручную, она не разрешит вам загрузить старую версию образа ОС, а предложит обновиться).
- Дальнейшие шаги по загрузке оригинального образа ISO с Windows 10 будут стандартными для утилиты MCT — если вы не знаете, как именно ею пользоваться, обратите внимание на ссылку в первом абзаце этой статьи — там это подробно описано и показано в видео.
В моем тесте всё работает исправно, загрузки проходят успешно, образы доступны на русском языке и в нужной разрядности — x64 или x86 (32-бит).

Обратите внимание, что при загрузке образа, в разделе «Выпуск» вам будет доступен более широкий выбор редакций Windows 10, чем при ручном использовании Media Creation Tool, например, здесь присутствует и Enterprise версия системы.
It’s now widely believed that Microsoft will release Windows 10 Version 2004, a.k.a Windows 10 May 2020 Update to the general public tomorrow and that means we’re less than 24 hours away from the roll-out. It also means that the new major Windows 10 update isn’t officially available for the general public.
The easiest way to test the new Windows 10 update is by becoming a Windows Insider, but if you’re one of those who don’t want to become an Insider, you can still install Windows 10 Version 2004 before it becomes publicly available.

However, the official MCT page doesn’t offer the Windows 10 Version 2004 just yet. So, if you’re planning to download it from the official MCT download page, you’re out of luck.
