  Hello community,

  I installed Windows 8.1 on my Latitude E6420 and I can get the sound to work. I installed the drivers available for Windows 8, but he doesn’t play any sounds.   Hello. See here for a list of Dell of the models that work with 8 and 8.1. Dell recommends not installing 8.1 on the Latitude E6420 model. Dell said 8 is correct but does not provide an audio driver IDT even for 8. I don’t think that there will be provided by any Dell IDT audio driver for 8.1 since it is not recommended to install. This means that you must use the native audio driver supplied with Windows. The native driver is generic and you can usually get audio to work when using it but not all functions are working properly. All I can suggest is to find the generic audio driver in Device Manager (I don’t know how it is in the list) and try to ‘update’ by allowing Windows to search for an update on the internet.

  Maybe someone at our Windows 8 jury can suggest an audio driver IDT, you can try to use. If you post here tell them that you already posted on the Audio card to the laptop so that they will not move your message here.

  You need a license key for 7 Ultimate — if this is what is indicated on the label of the system product key (in the battery compartment), you’re ready.  If this isn’t the case, you will need to purchase a license key.

• Quick adjustment driver for a Latitude D630 with Windows 7 32 bit

  I loaded Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit on a Dell Latitude D630.  Is there a compatible with the D630 AND Windows 7 Home 32 bit Dell QuickSet driver?

  I tried to use the serial number, [ADMIN NOTE: Service tag deleted by the privacy policy], in order to obtain the correct driver from the quick set button, but the pilot was offered, R182249, would not load.  The Dell site also does not list Windows 7 in the drop down menu to the operating system.  R182249 is listed as pilot QuickSet for Vista 32 or 64 bit.

  Any suggestions?

  R182249 is for Vista 64 bit only; It will not work on 32 bit OS.

  R180762 should load on Windows 7 32 bit, it worked fine for me on a D820.

  It is strongly suggested that you do a clean install.

  So I wiped my HD (after backing up personal files). Don’t come to format your drive, I mean totally wipe it.

  Automatic updates will install the drivers you need for any connected device or visit the manufacturers for your drivers.

  So in short, «Don’t sweat it».

  Go ahead and download this puppy goes for a few years.

To refine the question, I would like to connect once the system via a connection internet wired , i.e. via the connection cable directly inserted into the port on your system. In addition, please, try the following steps and check if the problem persists.

  Method 1:

Правильно записать винду надо на флешку. Через Ultra ISO или аналог.
Потом Boot меню при включении ноута сразу вызвать надо, там выберешь флешку.
А бут меню на ноутах включается по разному везде, F11 редко где сработает. Для своего ноута гугли как именно.

Залить образ на флешку правильно. И выстави загрузку с флешки с БИОСа. Или запустить BOOT меню.
