Whatsapp tray 1.3 работает но только до первого разворачивания из трея — дальше всё.

UPD. По состоянию на 06.01.2019 последняя рабочая версия, в которой нет проблем — 1.4.3 - https://www.anvir.net/ — при сворачивании с нажатым SHIFT — сворачивается в трей
любое приложение.
зы. Не увидел сразу, что у вас Whatsapp tray 1.3 не работает. Странное поведение, у меня всё ок.
UPD. По состоянию на 06.01.2019 последняя рабочая версия, в которой точно нет такой проблемы — 1.4.3
Удалять не стану — чтобы в будущем из поисковых систем сюда люди могли придти.

Если вы используете WhatsApp на компьютере и хотите, чтобы оно не занимало место на панели задач, вы можете свернуть его в трей. В этой статье мы расскажем, как это сделать.
Шаг 1. Откройте WhatsApp на компьютере и войдите в свою учетную запись.
Шаг 2. Нажмите на значок «Настройки» (иконка шестеренки) в правом верхнем углу экрана.
Шаг 3. Выберите «Настройки приложения».
Шаг 4. В меню настроек выберите «Основные».
Шаг 5. В разделе «Окно приложения» установите флажок напротив опции «Свернуть в трей приложений при закрытии окна».
Шаг 6. Нажмите кнопку «Сохранить».
Теперь, когда вы закрываете окно WhatsApp, оно будет свернуто в трей вместо того, чтобы оставаться открытым на панели задач. Если вы хотите вернуть WhatsApp на экран, просто щелкните на его значке в трее.
Советы:
— Если вы хотите, чтобы WhatsApp запускалось автоматически при включении компьютера, установите флажок напротив опции «Запускать приложение при входе в систему» в разделе «Основные» настроек приложения.
— Помимо сворачивания WhatsApp в трей, вы также можете настроить уведомления о новых сообщениях и других событиях. Для этого перейдите в раздел «Уведомления» в настройках приложения.

I have modified the RBTray app to work with the WhatsApp desktop client.
Download WhatsappTray here
Important: DON’T start the application with admin rights unless WhatsApp is also running with admin rights!
Otherwise, it will not work because of communication problems between the two applications.
Tested with Win10 64bit (64-bit WhatsApp client).

Using
To minimize a program to the system tray, you can use any of these methods:
- Right-click with the mouse on the program’s minimize button.
- Hold the Shift key while Right-clicking on the program’s title bar.
- Pressing Windows-Alt-Down on the keyboard (all at the same time).

WhatsApp is a very popular messenger app available for a number of platforms like Android, iOS, macOS and Windows desktop. It now offers many useful features such as the ability to send money to other WhatsApp users through a number of methods.
In the beginning, WhatsApp was available for only smartphones but then they also made a web app version available for everyone which can be used from any modern web browser. Later they released a desktop client for Windows and macOS. This desktop client has many more features than the web app version, but it still lacks some features often desired from a messenger app. For example, we cannot minimize it to the notification area or system tray on a Windows PC.
Now with the help an open-source add-on called WhatsappTray, we can add WhatsApp icon to the system tray and have some extra features available from the system tray menu. The installation of the WhatsappTray is extremely easy and it supports silent installation as well using a /silent switch.
From the system tray menu for WhatsappTray, we can access functions such as Close WhatsApp, Restore WhatsApp, Close to tray, Start Minimized, and more. We can also make it start with Windows and enabled sending of WhatsApp to the system tray using just the Escape key on the physical keyboard.
WhatsappTray creates appData.ini in the same folder as the WhatsappTray executable. In this configuration file, we can make manually change its settings. For example, we can enable displaying of the unread message count in the system tray. We can also change the start path for the installed WhatsApp desktop client for Windows.
WhatsappTray is really useful for people who use WhatsApp extensively through their Windows Desktop PC. It adds most desired features for minimizing and closing WhatApp to the system tray.
