Hello, I’m trying to install a program on my Windows 7 64bit system but the following message appears. ‘This program can only be installed on versions of windows designed for the following processor architectures
X86′
Any ideas??
I haven’t done a lot with 64 bit OS. But I do remember something about 16 bit programs not working with them and 32 bit programs that use 16 bit installers not installing.

My computer is a Windows 7 32-bit operating system yet every time I try to open 32-bit WampServer download it keeps suggesting it can’t be installed. I’ve also tried installing the 62-bit version yet it gives me the same exact message.
I was successfully able to install WampServer on my computer last year. I am trying to install it again, and it gives me the same message, over and over again.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

It appears the installer you’re using is for 64 bit Windows. I would try downloading the 32 bit version again. I’m not familiar with Wamp, but did a search and found this page from bitnami with the current version 7.1.22-1. The 32 bit download is the lower box:
If this installer gives you the x64 error again, there may be an error with the installer file on the website. In this case, you can try using an older 32 bit version in the «Other versions» list.

When users clicked on download links from the various Web pages of the Cube series, information obtained from their Web browsers was used to automatically determine the URL to the required installer and guide them to it. However, we have begun to receive reports from users who have installed the x86 (32-bit) version of Windows on x64-based processors that the x64 installer was inadvertently downloaded.
If you get an error message when you run the installer that This program can only be installed on versions of Windows designed for the following processor architectures: x64, as shown above, please try to reacquire the installer from the download link for the x86 (32bit) version.
Hi all,
It seems that i’m not able to run Mendix Studio Pro on my M1 Macbook that I recently got from work. On my Intel Macbook I used Parallels with Windows, but because the new Macs run on a different architecture I need to make use of the Parallels Technical Preview with Windows 10 Insider Preview for ARM with x64 emulation built in.
In case of Mendix the emulation doesn’t seem to work whereas all other x64 apps I tried worked fine. Mendix just won’t install with the following error message:
“This program can only be installed on version of windows designed for the following processor architectures: x64”
To get Mendix running I tried a manual install (installed dependencies manually), different Windows for ARM builds (dev channel) and used CrossOver (Wine) which also didn’t work. With CrossOver the app did install but directly quits when opening without any message.
I have searched hard and long and didn’t find anything online on this matter. No other apps have been reported with this issue.
I’m getting the idea that Mendix has some kind of failsafe built in which blocks the installer.
Is there a workaround or solution available?
To get this working would make me extremely happy as it is the only thing keeping me from using my new Macbook. At the moment I use my old one for everything (except for some gaming :D).

Installation of TSE seems not possible on windows 11 Home emulated on Parallels.
The (strange) error message that shows up when I launch the installer states:
«This program can be only installed on version of windows designed for x64 CPU architecture»
…that should be exactly my case 🤔
