To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
Download the SOAOTH-20050600-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the
SOAOTH-20050600-US.EXE
file to begin the installation.
At the «Sony Notebook Utilities for Microsoft® Windows® XP» screen, click «Next».
At the «License Agreement» dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click «I Agree» to continue with the installation.
NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
At the «Finished» screen, click «Finish».
At the «Install» screen, click «OK» to restart the computer.
After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony® Notebook Utilities is complete.

Antonio_Badalamenti респект за короткий и четкий ответ.
Однако возникли некоторые вопросы и затруднения, если кто може помоч советами, буду очень признателен.
Коротко о проблеме.
В 2010 через ebay из канады, купил моноблок SONY VAIO, что за модель теперь конкретно и не помню а по поиску на вашем сайте я немогу определить (на корпусе модель PCG-2A1L) родную висту снес поставил WINDOWS 7 (32 bit) ну тут и пошли проблемы как было описано. Дрова все поставил, но вот есть некоторые недопонятки и подозрения, что например видеодрайвер не тот встал (если таскаешь какое нибудь окошко по экрану за ним остается шлейф. т.е. скорость работы видеодрайвера маловатая видимо, и по качеству аже предустановленного виндового видео не то разрешение), прибавление громкости с клавиатуры работает но нет графического отбражение уровня на экране.
Если подскажите на какую модель брать дрова за основу буду признателен. (TV тюнера в нем нет)
Установил VAIO Update он пишет «Не удалось получить информацию» (толи нет связи,толи упдате не понимет железо и не может его идентифицировать, бог его знает, что думать.)

Затем установите видеодрайвер (если у вас гибридная карта и есть переключатель Speed/Stamina, то ставите переключатель в режим Speed, затем перезагружаетесь и только после этого ставите драйвер!) и далее устанавливаете главные утилиты от SONY в следующей последовательности:
