Download and install the HiByMusic app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

  1. Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
    Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .

  2. Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:

  2. For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
    • Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

  3. Installing HiByMusic:

    IOS version Does Not Work with the R3! Other R3 owners have the same results, they are:
    Difficulty connecting iPhone to Hiby R3 Using Hiby Link. Sometimes it connects, sometimes doesn’t. The app crashes if it fails to connect.
    Pop-up messages in the Hiby Music app in iOS are in Chinese.
    Searching music in iOS is hard. For every letter I type, the keypad closes. So I have to tap the search bar for every letter in my keyword. Also, after typing about 5 letters, the app crashes.
    Creating a playlist doesn’t allow me to use white space. So instead of writing “Live Performance”, I have to write “LivePerformance”.
    Album art in the music list is not showing.
    Holding the volume up button in my iPhone only increases the volume once. So I have to press multiple times to increase the volume. Same goes with volume down.
    I bought this player exclusively for it’s hiby link compatibility with IOS. It does not work!!!

  • Love The Interface, But Life Is Not Good

    The app is stable and love the interface. However I have an issue with battery life on an iOS device. It really kills the battery on my iPod Touch 6th gen. I listen to FLAC files and it this app will kill the battery within 5 hours easily. Where as the other app that I use that starts with an “f” and ends with an “r” I will get three or more times the playing time on the same files 5 hours vs. 15+

  • Great sounding app, needs help though

    This app sounds really good and a has a slick UI too. One major problem to me is that when you look up artist all the tracks are sorted alphabetically not by album track. If you could further sort the artist option by artist then album, this would be awesome and more intuitive! Otherwise great app!! Will you be bringing over the magic 8 ball as well?

    It’s mixing up cover art a lot. Especially when I add a new song. It also crashes when I go to try and find the right cover for the songs. I like the app, it’s a great idea. I hope that gets fixed. I recently ordered the HiBy R6, so I was working on putting music from my iPod touch in the HiBy music app.

Step 1: Store the plugins of sound field（”libsound_field.so”）into SDcard\HiByMusic\Plugins.

Step 2: Launch HiByMusic App (Android) > Click [plugins] > Click [DSP] > Click [+] on upper right quarter > Click [Sound Field].

Q: How to add lyrics?

A: Place lyrics files with lrc format to the same folder as music. Keep their names as the same one.

Q: How to display music cover?

A: Way 1: Embed covers into music by other softwares.

Way 2: Place cover pictures to the same folder as music. Keep their names as the same one. Follow the above way to display album cover, and rename them to «cover/front/folder».

Q: How to obtain plugins?

A: There are two plugins provided online: Sound Field and Balance.

Click Plugin -> DSP manager -> Click upper-right icon to add plugins.

Q: How to add music to HibyMusic on an iOS device?

A: Ways 1: Place music to HibyMusic App by iTunes.

Way 2: Import music via WiFi.

Q: How to use LAN function?

A: Set up LAN on your PC. Set the music folder as “shared”. Launch HibyMusic App -> Choose LAN -> Enter the account and passwords of your PC -> Access the music files on LAN.

Q: According to the App description, the music format should have been supported by HibyMusic, such as DFF format. However, it shows“Music not support”. Why?

A: HibyMusic does not support the DFF files of DSD 256 and above. There are different codings of DFF formats, and some of them may be unsupported in HibyMusic. Please send these unsupported files to us: bugs@hiby.cd.

Q: What is SRC function?

A: SRC (Also called Re-sampling), refers to a method to change the sampling rate of songs through software so that enhance the listening sense and quality of songs, mainly for non hires songs. It does not require to enable this choice when native playback because it only supports 44.1 at this time. When connecting to DAC, HibyMusic shows a sampling rate list supported by DAC. Users can freely choose one sampling for fixed output. Generally speaking, HibyMusic sets DAC output sampling, giving priority to the sampling of a song itself.

Q: Is it SRC when native playback? What about connecting to external DAC?

A: Re-sampling is a process to re-deal with the music data, which should be avoided as much as possible. Android system cannot avoid SRC, while DAC model avoids SRC by default.

Q: Does HibyMusic support software decoding or hardware decoding?

A: Native playback is software decoding while connecting to DAC is hardware decoding.

Q: What do LQ and SQ stand for?

A: In HibyMusic, LQ = Low Quality, SQ = Standand Quality, HQ = High Quality.

Q: Does HibyMusic support synchronous or asynchronous？

A: Both. It depends on the external sound card.

R3 firmware download

1. After downloading the firmware, please place r3.upt in the root directory of micro SD card.

2. Insert the micro SD card into R3, click System settings -> Firmware update -> Update via micro SD card. Then R3 will get updated.

If you want to install and use the HiByMusic app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type HiByMusic in the search bar and press Search. Click on HiByMusicapplication icon. A window of HiByMusic on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called «All Apps».
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

В DLNA, LAN не пускает, просит зарегистрировать аккаунт. Дает возможность проигрывать папку.
На ПК с использованием Windroye вылетает при переходе с вертикального режима в горизонтальный.

есть возможность перевернуть плеер с помощью сторонних программ. Но на нексус почему-то вылетает. На других планшетах и телефонах (samsung) принудительный ландшафтный режим работает корректно.
А так не рекомендую новые версии. В ландшафтном режиме еще меньше управление треком по времени проигрывания. На старых версиях это было удобнее перемещаться по треку, там крупнее намного управление по кругу.
А качество звука такое же, если техника соответствующая.

Забыли про APlayer. Из бесплатных софт плееров он на сегодня лучший.
Если повозиться с настройками может сравниться и с платными.
У меня самого основным стоит JRiver, а Foobar и APlayer под настроение.
//карта ASUS Essence ST+ два hi-fi комплекта, прошедших у меня многолетнюю селекцию
Но все они в плане качества звучания не дотягивают до обычных стационарных CD плееров.
Если звучание JRiver хоть и с большой натяжкой, но уже можно пробовать сравнивать допустим с любым бюджетным CD,
допустим от Marantz, то бесплатным до стационаров как до луны пешком.
Но удобны, что есть то есть.

What is the best audio player software?

Which high-resolution audio player has the best sound quality is your personal choice rather. Some music players are capable of playback sound files without altering binary content (bit-perfect). In general, you don’t care, that player is used, but some nuances are there. How to make the choice is discussed below.

Which media player has the best sound quality?

Playback modes

An audio player may work in 2 base modes (depending on the software’s abilities):

  1. bit-perfect (transmitting data from an audio file to a DAC without altering);
  2. processing mode (resampling, room correction, and others).

In bit-perfect mode, the sound quality is determined by DAC and the next audio devices.
This mode consumes minimum computing resources. It is desirable for computers with low computing power.

We can imagine a digital-to-audio converter (DAC) as a grinder and a music file as coffee beans.

It doesn’t matter what spoon form (bit-perfect transfer) we pour the beans into the grinder’s container. The taste (sound quality) of ground coffee will be the same.

Processing’s sound quality depends on the player and/or processing plug-in.
Higher-quality processing may consume more computing resources, and, sometimes, can’t work on lower-performance computers.

Also, this mode consumes more electrical energy for calculations and cooling, than a bit-perfect one.
When fans work in intensive mode, they cause more noise.

We can consider a sound file as green coffee beans.

Audio processing in a music player is like bean roasting.

The grains are roasted (the file is processed) before pouring the beans into the grinder’s container (DAC noted above).

The roasting (file processing) defines the coffee taste (sound quality).

Gapless playback

Some albums (operas, live concerts, etc.) should be played back as a continuous stream.

We can imagine a live concert recording as a pie. We can slice it into pieces (tracks/audio files).

At first glance, sliced pie is very similar to a complete one.

However, the cuts cause some heterogeneity in the pie body.

Fortunately, audio files, that are correctly cut and processed, may be united back in the complete «pie».

Some players can begin the next song without DAC re-initialization.
This ability is called Gapless playback.
It may be applied for as bit-perfect as processed modes (see «Playback modes»).

Also played audio files back may be pre-converted in gapless mode too.
This mode has a sense when audio files are resampled or DSD files are processed.
Gapless conversion has sense, when the audio player works in gapless mode.

Memory playback

Some players support so-called memory playback. Audio files (or album) is loaded from hard disk to RAM and delivered to DAC faster than from the disk. At old computers, it can improve to some extent smoothness of transient to the next track. We should bear in mind here that the feature may not be required on modern disks, solid state especially.

ASIO

ASIO is a kind of audio driver by audio interface vendors, that provides low latency and uses specific properties of the audio interface. ASIO SDK (programming tools) is provided by Steingberg.

As rule, ASIO driver is provided together with a sound device. Specific functionality management is supported via a special software control panel.

There is a universal ASIO-driver ASIO4All. But, as rule, DAC-vendor driver is more recommended.

The latest MacOS versions use their built-in drivers (Core Audio) instead ASIO. So, you do not need special drivers to work with a DAC. However, audio device vendors may provide Mac’s ASIO drivers for some devices.

WASAPI

WASAPI is a built-in Windows driver to direct access to an audio interface without operating system processing. May be used instead of ASIO.

WASAPI may use exclusive access to an audio interface to render sound stream directly to the DAC’s audio buffer without mixing audio streams from several applications. So, no operating system’s audio processing is there.

Native DSD

Native DSD is sending DSD audio stream from audio file to DSD DAC without conversion to PCM.

ASIO drivers under Windows may support it. Under the latest  MacOS version, DSD audio stream should be packed in DoP format. The packing is lossless. Also, DoP format may be used on Windows.

DSD to PCM

DSD audio stream may not be played on PCM DAC. Before sending the stream to the DAC, this stream should be converted to PCM.

It consumes processing resources. In the general case, better sound quality depends on amount of computing resources.

Some computers may not have enough computing power for real-time DSD to PCM conversion. It may be solved via offline DSD to PCM conversion. Also, it saves free space on hard disk (HDD) of an audio player. It allows putting more songs on the disk. It may be very useful for portable/mobile devices.

Also, the interaction of the distortions with a playback system (DAC, amplifier, speakers) is a matter.

На фоне современных программных движков, наш подопытный выглядит уверенно, но давно уже не является эталоном.

Плюсы – очень много всего для настройки;
Минусы – и очень мало для действительно хорошего звучания «сразу из коробки»;
Кому подойдет – ретроградам.

Звук вроде и не кажется фантастическим (на первый взгляд), но что-то в нем цепляет. Слаженное, ритмичное, зажигательное – короче говоря, это отличный способ малыми усилиями преобразить ваш Mac.

Фишка HQ Player в широчайших возможностях апсемплинга и дауинсемплинга, например, он умеет любой сигнал переводить в DSD (до 1,536 МГц), может накладывать FIR-фильтры для эквайлизации и рум-коррекции. Со всем этим вы будете разбираться не один месяц – в итоге, отличное развлечение. При наличии мощного компьютера звук может свести с ума – разрешение выдающееся, музыкальное полотно — абсолютно живое.

Плюсы – опций столько, что голова кругом идет;
Минусы – требует чего-то большего для полноценного управления;
Кому подойдет – педантам.

Минусы – после работы с ним вы захотите собрать High End PC и начнете разбираться с RAM Drive’ом; интерфейс ужасен;

В звуке есть все, чего только можно желать – красота, детальность, сбалансированность, взрывания динамика. Особенно преображаются низкие частоты; в общем, однозначно стоит попробовать!
