Simulate real-world interaction with a device and test the features of your app by using the tools included with Microsoft Emulator for Windows 10 Mobile. The emulator is a desktop application that emulates a mobile device running Windows 10. It provides a virtualized environment in which you can debug and test Windows apps without a physical device. It also provides an isolated environment for your application prototypes.
The emulator is designed to provide comparable performance to an actual device. Before you publish your app to the Windows Store, however, we recommend that you test your app on a physical device.
You can test your universal app using a unique Windows 10 Mobile emulator image for various screen resolution and screen size configurations. You can simulate real-world interaction with a device and test various features of your app by using the tools included in the Microsoft Emulator.

Microsoft Emulator runs as a virtual machine on Hyper-V, the virtualization technology for Windows 10. To run the emulator, your computer must meet the following requirements.
The Microsoft Emulator Setup configures the prerequisites for you silently when you install the emulator. If the setup succeeds in configuring the environment, the emulator simply works as expected. In some cases, you may have to enable these prerequisites manually.System Requirements:

- Click the Download button for EmulatorSetup.exe and then select the option to Run and follow the instructions that appear in the wizard.
