First things first; this release breaks compatibility with older ones, please follow these instructions of you upgrade:
- Make sure the
ScpToolkit Clean Wipe Utilityis selected in the setup:
- Don’t run the Driver Installer at the end of the setup, finish instead:
- Launch the
ScpToolkit Clean Wipe Utilityand hit the button:
- Fire up the
ScpToolkit Driver Installerafterwards and follow its instructions.

ScpToolkit is a free Windows Driver and XInput Wrapper for Sony DualShock 3/4 Controllers. Installation is fairly simple and straightforward, but does require a few things: Microsoft Windows Vista/7/8/8.1/10 x86 or amd64, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package, Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Runtime, DirectX Runtime, Xbox 360 Controller driver (already integrated in Windows 8.x or greater), at least one supported Sony DualShock 3/4 controller and Administrator rights during driver setup.

It worked really well for what it was/is but as the page/description says it is now deprecated. It can still be used but most likely the newer project (vigem DsHidMini) by the same creator(s) should be used instead (which should imo be stated in the description here, as it is done on GitHub, to reduce the frustration people seem to have with this tool in the reviews).

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS!
It will f!@#up all of your drivers, like mouse, keyboard etc. You’ll have to recover your PC to fix it. Idk what happened with this app, i used it for a long time for PS3 controller to play games, but suddenly, it gone CRAZY!1 user found this review helpful.

NEVER should’ve installed this.
It overwrites your connected usb devices if you put on all the options,without even warning you first. Made me unable to use my mouse, forced me to go buy a new mouse just to erase all traces of ScpToolKit. I hope you change this mess or rest in the abyss.1 user found this review helpful.

Scp Toolkit — программа для подключения контроллера DualShock к ПК под управлением Windows. Как и другое программное обеспечение подобного рода, Scp Toolkit производит эмуляцию геймпада от Sony под джойстик Xbox. Поскольку владельцем Xbox является компания Microsoft, контроллер данной консоли совместим с Windows 7, 8 и 10. Поэтому для синхронизации контроллера DualShock 3 и DualShock 4 удобнее эмулировать геймпад, совместимый с большинством игр от Microsoft. Scp Toolkit не просто эмулятор, а установщик драйверов. После инсталляции программы Вам будет предложено установить драйвера и ПО для контроллеров. Отдельно предусмотрены драйвера для DualShock 3 и 4 версии. Также в софте есть драйвера Bluetooth, которые необходимы для работы на беспроводных геймпадах. Если все программное обеспечение вам не нужно, достаточно снять галочку напротив названия драйвера. ScpToolkit – это программа-обертка, которая позволяет подключать DirectInput-контроллеры вроде Dualshock 3 и 4 к ПК на Windows 10. Продукт распространяется бесплатно с открытым исходным кодом, который доступен всем желающим на Github.
Инструмент ScpToolkit позволяет использовать различные DirectInput-геймпады в тех играх на PC, в которых поддержка DInput API изначально отсутствует, замещенная более новым стандартом ввода XInput. Последний был разработан специально для новых на то время контроллеров Xbox 360.
Программа включает в себя целый ряд компонентов, каждый из которых обладает собственным интерфейсом. В целом его можно охарактеризовать как довольно простой и незамысловатый.
Преимущества ScpToolkit
- Распространение продукта на бесплатной основе с открытым исходным кодом.
- Довольно простой механизм управления программой.
- Наличие графического интерфейса пользователя.
Недостатки ScpToolkit
- Отсутствие поддержки русского и украинского языков.
Заключение
Инструмент ScpToolkit ведет себя корректно и в итоге позволяет подключить до 4-х контроллеров Dualshock к одному порту USB. Установка программы состоит из нескольких этапов: установки сторонних компонентов, необходимых для работы ScpToolkit, установки самого ScpToolkit, а также установки драйвера геймпада. Запуск ScpToolkit осуществляет компонента Server, доступ к которой можно получить из меню «Пуск».
Внимание
Для корректной работы программы пользователям необходимо предварительно установить на свой компьютер следующие пакеты и компоненты:
- Оригинальный драйвер контроллера Xbox 360.
- Microsoft .NET Framework версии 4.5.
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package.
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Runtime.
- DirectX Runtime.
Кроме того, нужно иметь при себе хотя бы один геймпад Sony Dualshock 3 или 4.
