ASUS Lyra (MAP-AC2200).

ASUS Lyra (MAP-AC2200)

  • возможность установки в нескольких удаленных комнатах;
  • данные между устройствами передаются по «техническому каналу», не затрагивающему скоростные характеристики основных рабочих диапазонов;

ASUS Lyra (MAP-AC2200)

Reset.

ASUS Lyra (MAP-AC2200)

  • Синий — все в порядке;
  • Красный — утеряно подключение к головному устройству, необходимо поместить его ближе;
  • Оранжевый — нет подключения к сети интернет;
  • Белый — устройство готово к настройке;

ASUS Lyra (MAP-AC2200)

ASUS Lyra

Please check out the article Flash layout. It contains examples and explanations that describe how to document the flash layout.

Note: Reset router to factory defaults if it has been previously configured. Installing OpenWrt on this device requires a two-step process, first writing the initramfs image from the OEM firmware — and then finalizing the installation by sysupgrading the real device firmware.

  1. Enable ssh in the OEM firmware (use port 22).

  2. Copy openwrt-ipq40xx-generic-asus_map-ac2200-initramfs-fit-uImage.itb via scp to /tmp/

  3. mtd-write -d linux -i /tmp/openwrt-ipq40xx-generic-asus_map-ac2200-initramfs-fit-uImage.itb

  4. reboot -f

  5. Now use the Ethernet port right beside the power connector.

  6. When booting, the LED will breathe in multiple colors, then blink blue, and when ready, will have a steady blue color.

  7. Wait for it to reboot. It will now have the IP 192.168.1.1, and the login will be root without a password.

  8. Copy openwrt-ipq40xx-generic-asus_map-ac2200-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin via scp to /tmp/

  9. sysupgrade -n /tmp/openwrt-ipq40xx-generic-asus_map-ac2200-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

  10. Wait for it to reboot

  11. ssh to 192.168.1.1 and set a root password, or browse to http://192.168.1.1 if LuCI is installed.

The Asus MAP-AC2200 doesn’t have a reliable push-button tftp recovery, as it can’t deal with changed UBI partitioning (OEM and OpenWrt differ in this regard). Recovering the MAP-AC2200 requires opening the device and attaching a serial console to the unpopulated header “J35” (2mm spacing), the pinout is: 3.3v — RX — TX — GND (square is VCC).

Prepare your tftp server (192.168.1.70) and provide “asus_map-ac2200-initramfs-fit-uImage.itb” as “HIVESPOT.trx” to the MAP-AC2200.

Interrupt u-boot at the boot screen, pressing “1”, if you followed the default settings below, you can keep the defaults (press [ENTER]):

Please choose the operation:
   1: Load System code to SDRAM via TFTP.
   2: Load System code then write to Flash via TFTP.
   3: Boot System code via Flash (default).
   4: Entr boot command line interface.
   7: Load Boot Loader code then write to Flash via Serial.
   9: Load Boot Loader code then write to Flash via TFTP.

Once the initramfs image has booted, sysupgrade can be used to install a known-working sysupgrade image of OpenWrt from the login shell provided on the serial console.

→ Basic configuration After flashing, proceed with this.

Set up your Internet connection, configure wireless, configure USB port, etc.

FIXME Please fill in real values for this device, then remove the EXAMPLEs

Numbers 0-3 are Ports 1-4 as labeled on the unit, number 4 is the Internet (WAN) on the unit, 5 is the internal connection to the router itself. Don’t be fooled: Port 1 on the unit is number 3 when configuring VLANs. vlan0 = eth0.0, vlan1 = eth0.1 and so on.
