The F8 key method does not work on Windows 10, Windows 8 and 8.1. Hence, getting onto Safe Mode requires the following steps:-

If your PC is working properly:
1) On the Windows Start Screen/Menu, type Advanced.
2) Click on Advanced startup options.
3) Under the Advanced Startup heading at the bottom of the General Settings screen, click on Restart now.
4) Your computer will restart and you will be taken to the Advanced Startup Options menu. To easily reach this menu, on Windows 8 start screen, you could choose restart while holding the Shift key.
5) Click on Troubleshoot and then on the Advanced Options button.
6) Now, click on Startup Settings.
7) At the Startup Settings Screen, click on Restart.
8) Your computer will restart to Advanced Boot options from where you can choose a Safe mode option based on your need.

You can also force Windows to start in Safe mode.

If your PC is not working properly:

Windows 8 monitors your PC’s startup for problems and when an error is detected, it automatically takes you to the new Recovery mode with the message “Recovery. It looks like Windows didn’t load correctly.” In this case:-

1) Select Advanced Repair Options and then click on Troubleshoot.
2) Click on the Advanced Options button.
6) Now click on Startup Settings.
7) At the Startup Settings Screen, click on Restart.
8) Your computer will restart to Advance Boot Options from where you can choose a Safe mode option based on your need.

Method 2: You can fix it by uninstalling new software or drivers:

  • Insert the Windows bootable drive and boot from it.
  • Select your language preferences, and click Next.
  • Click Repair your computer.
  • Select Troubleshoot > Startup Settings > Restart.
  • Press the F4 key to boot Windows into Safe Mode.
  • Then, you can uninstall new software or drivers.

Method 3: soveld:

I’m getting this message shortly after windows turns off my monitors. I have it set to turn them off after 20 minutes. In less than a minute the screen comes on, goes blue and displays “It looks like Windows load correctly.” I select restart and the system restarts just fine. I’ve run the SFC as shown above and it says “Windows did not find any integrity violations.”

This started shortly after I upgraded to Windows 10.

Would appreciate any help you might provide.

Thanks.

UPDATE 08/20/2015: I solved the issue by turning off hybrid sleep. Because the problem happened when the computer put itself to sleep,

I went to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings and selected “Change advanced power settings.”

I expanded Sleep, then Allow hybrid sleep and selected Off.

This solved my problem. Note my problem only occurred when the computer put itself to sleep. It always booted up just fine.

Windows 10

  1. sfc /scannow
  2. dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  3. shutdown -r

  1. diskpart
  3. exit
Enter).
  6. md configbackup
  7. cd E:\Windows\System32\config\
  8. copy * e:\configbackup\
  9. cd E:\Windows\System32\config\regback\

  1. cd e:\configbackup\
  2. copy * e:\windows\system32\config\ (подтвердить перезапись файлов, нажав A и Enter).
