PsTools — бесплатный набор консольных утилит для администрирования как удаленных, так и локальных систем, с помощью которых можно получать информацию о запущенных процессах и службах, управлять ими, запускать или завершать процессы и многое другое.
Для каждой утилиты доступен список поддерживаемых команд и ключей, кроме того в архиве PsTools имеется файл справки.
В состав пакета PsTools входят следующие утилиты:
- PsExec — удалённое выполнение процесса.
- PsFile — просмотр удаленно открытых файлов.
- PsGetSid — вывод идентификатора безопасности (SID) пользователя или компьютера.
- PsInfo — информация о системе и установленных приложениях.
- PsKill — завершение процесса по имени или идентификатору.
- PsList — подробная информация о запущенных процессах.
- PsLoggedOn — просмотр пользователей зарегистрированных в системе локально или использующих общие ресурсы.
- PsLogList — просмотр записей из журнала регистрации событий.
- PsPasswd — изменение паролей учетных записей.
- PsPing — проверка сети.
- PsService — управление и просмотр информации о службах.
- PsShutdown — выключение или перезагрузка компьютера.
- PsSuspend — приостановка процессов.

Command line tools to manage remote computers»
This is an application just as the name suggests comes as a complete suite to access and manage remote computers in a network. You just have to make sure that you are comfortable with the command system of this application. It is a tool that is able to run all the simulation functions of the said kit. It runs on a command line in that you just have to make sure that you are ab;e to process all the registry functions of the application.
Ps means PsList and comes from a Linux command “ps”. You can execute processes remotely, view information about a PC, change passwords and other administration tasks.
You really do not need to install any client software but if you want to handle the application remotely then you might be forced to do so. It includes different modules such as PsExec, PsFile, PsGetSid, PSInfo and more.
PsTools is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in system miscellaneous category and is available to all software users as a free download.

Описание программы
В состав пакета входят следующие инструменты: PsExec — удаленное выполнение процессов; PsFile — показывает файлы, открытые удаленно PsGetSid — отображает SID компьютера или пользователя; PsKill — убивать процессы по имени или идентификатору процесса; PsInfo — вывести информацию о системе; PsList — вывести подробную информацию о процессах; PsLoggedOn — посмотреть, кто вошел в систему локально и через общий доступ к ресурсам (полный исходный код включен); PsLogList — дамп записей журнала событий; PsService — просмотр и управление сервисами; PsShutdown — выключает и при необходимости перезагружает компьютер; PsSuspend — приостанавливает процессы; PsUptime — показывает, как долго система работала с момента последней перезагрузки.
Инструменты не требуют дополнительного клиентского программного обеспечения и поставляются в виде zip-файла, каждый из которых можно использовать отдельно. Ценная коллекция, похожая на некоторые утилиты Resource Kit, отлично подходит для администраторов серверов!

Мы используем его для удаленного администрирования наших машин. Pskill помог завершить процессы, которые зависли. Psservice очень полезен для удаленного управления службами.
PsTools is a command line based suite that allows users to manage one or many PCs both. PsTools can be used locally or even remotely. The option of using PsTools remotely means that you can run programs on another computer without physically being present. As long as the computer that is trying to be reached can be connected to on a network, there are many commands that can be used with the PsTools suite. Some commands available in the PsTools suite allow users to execute processes, change account passwords, reboot/shutdown a PC, retrieve system information, and even measure network performance. Most of these administrative tools are only accessible locally on a PC with Windows. With PsTools however, you can set any of them to be remotely enabled. On the surface, PsTools can be a great tool to use for a network administrator. However, hackers that acquire the PsTools suite can and use them for malicious purposes. There are certain criteria that need to be met however, when running the PsTools suite within the command line interface. Both the local and remote computers that a user is trying to connect to remotely need to have both file and print sharing enabled in order to use the PsTools Suite.

In conclusion, PsTools is a great suite of commands to use for accessing a computer remotely. Most of these tools would more than likely be used by a serious IT pro, more than likely a network administrator. The fact that you can run processes, use a command like ipconfig remotely seem invasive, but using PsTools can save time and hassle. But then again at the same time, PsTools can also provide hackers with user credentials, sensitive computer information and pave way for them to wreak havoc on a network of computers.

This product would be excellent for a network administrator. However, the downside of this product is the fact that hackers could use it to gain sensitive information from other people’s computers without the party’s knowledge. In conclusion, I would give this product three stars out of five considering the fact I am neither a network administrator nor a hacker. It would simply be of no use to me as an average computer user.
