… таки, с некоторых пор многие коллеги с форума предпочитают такую прогу — PMB (Picture Motion Browser) 
, тем паче, пока суд да дело кас. SPP и PMH, поэтому попробуйте загрузить и установить из официального источника PMB Ver.5.6.02 и Ver.5.8.02 Update Program, совместимую для Вашей модели DCR-HC17E, если надумаете, конечно — отсюда (

Picture Packages is a Windows program that allows users to prepare their photo collection for printing. It was originally created by the Ppackage company to ease the process of ordering their services. At the time of writing this review the developers ceased supporting the full functionality of this utility. However, it is still possible to preview images.
Picture selection
After launch, you are greeted with a simple menu that gives you access to main functions. By clicking Create New Order, you can import the desired images via the in-built file browser. Please note, all items should reside in a single folder to be recognized by this tool. Then, you are able to specify the order reference and preview the pictures you have selected.
Define packages
The next screen enables you to define the packages. The process is very intuitive. All you have to do is drag the product you wish to include from the corresponding list to the package window. Here, you can also change the unit quantity and color. When you finish and have checked all the entries you may begin assigning packages to images.
The last step gives you the ability to select pictures, apply template presets as well as compare them side by side. Moreover, you have the option to adjust the crop ratio for photos. As mentioned before, due to the lack of support from the developers, it is not possible to complete the order. In addition, you do not have the ability to save modified images. However, you can use similar utilities like HP Image Zone Express for the same purpose.

Ерунда, что пишут, у меня новый комп HP 7300 с 7 Проф и нормально PMB на него встала и работает, причем любую прогу РМВ старую ставишь и обновляешь на сайте Сони до последней версии. У меня 3 камеры Сони включая TD10E (3D) 2011 UJLF, CX550E-2010, SONY HDR-HC1E 2007 года на мини ДВ и все скачивается через Сони-киберлинк видеозахват с лент и видеомагов всех, включая HI-8, VIDEO-8, VHS .
Программа PMB чума — куча разделов и делает все. Купил PINNACLE 710, думал, будет удобнее, — хуже, потерял 6000 руб. Единственное, не разобрался с датами, не получается: PMB расставляет их в дату закачки на комп (это только с DV, HDV кассет), а не по дню записи. Кто знает, подскажите, как при видеозахвате со старой ленты (DV, HDV, VIDEO-8, HI-8) на компьютер и соответственно в РМВ через программу Sony Cyberlink-Power Director — это часть программы PMP- раздел, и я хочу сделать так, чтобы видеозаписи ложились по дате съемки, а у меня встают в дту скачки на компьютер в календаре видеозаписей РМВ.
Буду очень благодарен и поделюсь своим опытом по другим вопросам, интересующим вас.
