Ошибка 829 vpn windows 10

I have Windows 10 (OS build 17763) where I have created the PPTP VPN connection to the QNAP device following this article. Unfortunately, the connection cannot be established.
In the App Event Log I can see the following RasClient events:

Event ID 20221 - CoId={9A9B6463-F59A-4806-B201-5861E839DAC4}: The user SYSTEM has started dialing a VPN connection using a per-user connection profile named myVPN. The connection settings are....

Event ID 20222 - CoId={9A9B6463-F59A-4806-B201-5861E839DAC4}: The user SYSTEM is trying to establish a link to the Remote Access Server for the connection named myVPN using the following device ... 

Event ID 20223 - CoId={9A9B6463-F59A-4806-B201-5861E839DAC4}: The user SYSTEM has successfully established a link to the Remote Access Server using the following device...

Event ID 20224 - CoId={9A9B6463-F59A-4806-B201-5861E839DAC4}: The link to the Remote Access Server has been established by user SYSTEM.

Event ID 20226 - The user AzureAD\[my_user_name] dialed a connection named myVPN which has terminated. The reason code returned on termination is 829.

I have done what follows without success:

1. Uninstalled the ESET Internet Security, reboot the computer, disable all windows firewall,
2. Found this article at QNAP forum. Applied the registry settings and rebooted the computer,
3. Removed and recreated the VPN connection,
4. Did a full TCP/IP stack reset

I have created the same VPN connection on another Windows 10 (OS Build 17134) computer and I can connect without any problems and efforts.

Do you have any tips/tricks I can use to solve or troubleshoot the issue?

Client told me he couldn’t access the remotewebaccess.com vpn to the office.  Would connect and disconnect and or any connection would only last a few seconds before disconnecting. Event log errors include Error 829.

At first I thought it could be the server needed a reboot. Nope, wasn’t it.

Looked at the RWA certificates on the server and did notice that the one that was being used expired today. Hmmm. So I checked IIS and looked at the Bindings for the Default Website – but the server had already bound the new RWA certificate to it. Still clients couldn’t connect.

Looking further at the client event logs this is example of one of error messages:

CoId={3AE1BD1D-CF91-4B7B-A93F-7A59705A1EF5}: The user WIN10TEST\username dialed a connection named customerDomain.remotewebaccess.com which has terminated. The reason code returned on termination is 829. All this means is a disconnected session. Great no help there.

Searched the web and found this bit of information:

The RWA certificate set in IIS is also used by Routing and Remote Access Server Configuration – not for authentication but for maintaining secure TLS connection. So even though the IIS cert was updated, RRAS console doesn’t upgrade it automatically :(.

Solution: Go to Routing and Remote Access snap-in, right-click on the properties of your router (MACHINE-NAME (local) properties in the tree-view to the left) select the Security Tab; you will be warned that there’s no TLS certificate selected (the previous has expired in my case) and select the certificate that has the next year’s expiration date – can select and then view them prior to saving. This will force a RRAS service restart. Thereafter clients can connect and remain connected :).

Месяц назад перешел на нового провайдер, предоставляющего доступ к Интернету через VPN по PPTP. Месяц работало все идеально, а с прошлой субботы VPN рандомно стало отключатся. И самое главное, переподключится уже невозможно. В окне VPN сообщение: Port Opened. Помогает только перезагрузка ПК. После этого только можно войти в Интернет обратно. Ни антивирус, ни файрволлов нет. Два раза переустановил систему (Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate). Мастера провайдера приходили два раза. Тестировали линию — проблем нет. Заменили коннекторы с двух сторон кабеля (в подъезде, где коробка и у меня в квартире). Заодно посадили на другой порт. Не помогло. Я уже начинаю думать, что проблема носить хардварный характер…

Сижу без роутера. Авто подключение ВПН осуществляется через Sheduler по способу описанному в этом блоге:

Подключение осуществляется от SYSTEM с высшими привилегиями.

Вот как происходит дисконнект:
