  • откройте диспетчер устройств (WIN+R→devmgmt.msc);
  • раскройте раздел «Видеоадаптеры»;
  • кликните ПКМ на свою видеокарту и выберите «Обновить»;
  • выберите пункты «Найти драйверы на этом компьютере» и «Выбрать драйвер из списка доступных драйверов на компьютере»;

  • загрузите установщик GeForce Experience;
  • следуйте инструкции по установке и войдите в аккаунт Nvidia (создайте таковой, если в этом есть необходимость);
  • в окошке, где указывается отсутствие видеодрайвера, нажмите «Продолжить»;
  • в параметрах установки кликните на «Выборочная установка»;
  • обязательно выберите в следующем окошке «Чистую установку» (!);
  • и наконец, кликните на кнопку «Установить»;

После применения DDU сообщение гарантировано «Nvidia An unknown error has occurred» исчезнет.

Nvidia Install: An unknown error has occurred?

So, Guild Wars 2 is giving me some weird black screen, followed by the game returning, but with a lot of lag, and my web browsers all black. It gives me the error «NVIDIA windows kernel mode driver 314.14 has stopped working, but recovered.»

So I thought maybe I should do something about my drivers, maybe it’s an overheating probably, not sure.

But when I went to the Nvidia site and tried to download a driver, it gave me «An unknown error has occurred.» I can’t even download their «Geforge Experience» thing without getting this error! Anybody know why any of these two issues happen, and if they’re related?

Depends on what counts as the download I suppose. When I try to start the setup, I get the error. I suppose that’s the installing?

And I’ve just restarted my system, same thing happens. I don’t use any performance tools or reg cleaners right NOW, but any I’ve installed within recent time has been to combat this.

try going to your system control panel — programs and features — and uninstall your current driver first, then try to install the new one.

Nvidia 3D Vision Controllerdriver 314.14
Nvidia 3D Vision-Driver 314.14
Nvidia HD-sounddriver 1.3.23.1
Nvidia PhysX-systemsoftware 9.12.1031

None of them reacts when I try to remove them. D:
Not even in safe mode.

So, an error when I try to get new drivers or anything NVIDIA related, and no way to uninstall 314.14 drivers. And a «NVIDIA windows kernel mode driver 314.14 has stopped working, but recovered» error to make sure I don’t give up and try to enjoy GW2. I feel skrewed over.

Under the device manager, the graphic card says «Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)». I may know how this happened, but the question is, is there a way to repair it? Take the graphic card in and out of my computer would make it «reload» it right?

IMDb | MAL

not sure if that would work . you’d have to take the graphics card out, start the pc, try to uninstall everything, use a programm called «Driver Sweeper» to get rid of everything that didn’t disappear with the uninstall process. then shut down your pc again and insert the card .

also, did you check for the malware which i posted ?

Well, I can’t find anything in task manager that looks like it shouldn’t be there. Nothing called iehightuil.exe anyway.

But I have Driver Sweeper, the question is, should I clean anything else than NVIDIA — Display when I try this out? NVIDIA — PhysX or NVIDIA — Chipset?

EDIT: On the plus side, it now says it works properly, instead of Code 19. On the other side, I still get an unknown error when trying to install new stuff. It currently uses 310.106 or something, I presume that’s the driver it came with. I can’t open the NVIDIA control panel either. I suppose I need to get that with a driver install, but the unknown error is still in my way.

IMDb | MAL

ok, so it’s not the malware, actually that’s good ^^

did you have another graphics card running in the rig before or has it always been that one ?
when using driver sweeper you should uninstall everything that is connected to the gpu first, and then use the sweeper . if uninstall doesn’t work however, use the sweeper to get rid of everything connected to nvidia . then try uninstalling again (should work) and then hit it with new drivers .

I had a GTX 460, a few months ago I changed it into a GTX 660 ti.

So, step by step, I’m going to sweep everything NVIDIA related, Display, PhysX and Chipset, then uninstall what exactly? Device Manager? Programs and Functions? I’m starting to get lost in the difference. Then when starting it up, everything should be gone, and it will detect my graphic card, and I should then install drivers? It never seems to fully remove some part no matter what I do.

EDIT: My current issue is the unknown error. Sigh.

IMDb | MAL

when i go to «Programs and Features» in my system panel i see the following nVidia Elements:

3D Vision Controller-Driver
3D Vision Driver
GeForce Experience 1.0.1 (Beta)
Display Driver 314.14
HD-Audiodriver 1.3.23.1
PhysiX Systemsoftware 9.12.1031

As you can see i’m using the actual beta driver, luckily for me it doesn’t cause any problems .
did you move your rig recently? did you check if all the connectors and powerplugs are plugged in correctly? did you plug in your graphics card correctly?

Sadly i cannot help you any further . i have never encountered a problem like yours nor am i able to google something promising .
maybe try calling some kind of nvidia help line (don’t know if that exists).
