Маленькая заметка для системных администраторов, которые пользуются Windows и беспокоятся о своевременных обновлениях. Речь идёт об оффлайновых наборах обновлений для самых распространённых клиентских систем. На рабочих компьютерах с доступным интернетом однозначно лучше использовать Windows Update, но бывают ситуации, когда обновить систему нужно, а интернет дорогой/медленный/отсутствует, либо нужно обновить сам дистрибутив с системой, которая затем будет установлена на множество компьютеров — тогда набор обновлений использовать предпочтительнее, этим будет значительно сэкономлено ваше время.

На данный момент мною поддерживаются наборы обновлений для двух систем:

Windows XP SP3 x86 Rus

Пакет предназначен для интеграции обновлений в дистрибутив Windows XP, при этом интегрируются непосредственно файлы, извлеченные из хотфиксов, тем самым экономя время и место на CD-диске. Версия для установки на живую систему дополнительно содержит обновления для всех версий WMP и IE.

Windows 7 SP1 x86-x64 Multilingual

Набор позволяет обновлять рабочую систему Windows 7, а также интегрировать обновления в дистрибутив. Может быть установлен на любую редакцию Windows 7, любой разрядости и любого языка. Включены обновления для всех версий Internet Explorer, все критические, рекомендуемые и обновления безопасности.

Excellent post. Also just to elaborate on what one of the previous reviews said, some files are placed in the wrong folders, and also some other items are not being pointed at correctly, if at all, by the autorun.bat script. Because of these, you will see the following errors:

DriveLetter:\patches\wmp11\2008-08-11 KB939683.exe

and

DriveLetter:\patches\xp\2010-08-09 KB2115168.exe

The «redistributable» installers are also wrongly referenced in the autorun.bat file. So to fix everything, you do the following:

1. Move «2008-08-11 KB939683.exe» from «/patches/dotNET» to «/patches/wmp11/»;

2. Move «2010-08-09 KB2115168.exe» from «/patches/wmp11/» to «/patches/xp/»;

3. Edit «autorun.bat» and, in the «Installing Visual Redistributables» section, do the following:

A. Fix the path to include not just «\patches\», but also «\vcredist\» for all paths, so make them «\patches\vcredist\» instead;

B. Fix the name of one executable by renaming «fjs2.0se.exe» to the correct name, which is «vjs2.0se.exe»;

C. Before the «vjs2.0se.exe» row, add a new row with the following:
«%ToolPath%\patches\vcredist\vjs1.1.exe» /Q

D. After the «vc2013.exe» row, add two new rows with the following:
«%ToolPath%\patches\vcredist\vc2015.exe» /passive /norestart
«%ToolPath%\patches\vcredist\vc2017.exe» /passive /norestart

That will fix all the problems I detected. I am not sure if further problems exist, like perhaps autorun.bat ignoring further installers, and/or some update files simply missing from the collection. Based on the mistakes I saw, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. But this collection here still IS a very good starting point. I don’t know if anyone shared a better collection out there or not.

All else goes fine in the installation process. Although it is a bit annoying that the installation of the official themes require manual user input confirmation on the command line. Nonetheless, we certainly could use a «v2.0» bugfix of this collection.

To address the previous reviewer’s question, these are updates for the 32-bit versions of Windows XP, as can be inferred from the term «SP3», which is exclusive to them, be it the Professional Edition or any other. Not sure about XPe (XP Embedded), though, your mileage may vary with that. But these are certainly not for either of the two 64-bit editions (AMD64 and IA-64 architectures). So if you want to preserve and archive the updates for those OTHER editions, please do go on ahead and do so.

Официальная поддержка операционной системы Windows XP c пакетом обновления 3 (Windows XP SP3) была закончена 8 апреля 2014 года. Последняя версия UpdatePack Plus c включенными официальными обновлениями для Windows XP SP3 RUS была выпущена 15 мая 2014 г. (14.05.15).

В последующие версии UpdatePack Plus включаются обновления для операционной системы Windows XP Embedded (POS и WEPOS 2009).

Все последующие релизы UpdatePack Plus для Windows XP с пакетом обновления 3 вы используете на свой страх и риск.

Рекомендуем перейти на более современную операционную систему.
