HTC Home is a great weather widget for Windows desktop. It is analogous to the widget from HTC smartphones. It contains a clock and a weather forecast with animation.
HTC Home looks very beautiful, the animation is very realistic. Weather data is collected from Freemeteo, MSN and other servers. With HTC Home, you can view the weather a few days ahead right on your desktop. The forecast is accompanied by sound and animation. For example, if it rains in your area, there will be clouds on your desk, which will be abundant in water. Each such animation is accompanied by high-quality sound effects. It’s very unusual. Several skins will be available for you to choose from. All this is accompanied by a beautiful clock showing the time on your desktop. In addition to all the above described in the widget you can see the wind speed, humidity, etc. You choose the intervals at which HTC Home will synchronize with the servers to update the data. HTC Home software is a great way to customise the look of my Windows desktop. The interface is easy to navigate and the range of widgets available are really useful. I particularly like the rotating 3D globe which gives my desktop a fun and interactive feel. The software does come with some pre-installed items, but it’s simple to uninstall these if I don’t need them. The one downside is that I’ve found it can be a bit slow to load.

Новая версия содержит новый внешний вид и новые возможности, она стала ещё быстрее и стабильнее. Теперь у каждой версии, начиная с этой, будут свои имена — у 3.0 это Apis

Обновленный интерфейс
Вернулось отображение дневной и ночной температуры, а прогноз теперь совмещен с самим виджетом. Прогноз может быть легко скрыт простым щелчком по иконке погоды.
Дополнительная информация о погоде
Теперь виджет часов может отображать дополнительную информацию, такую как скорость ветра или влажность. Т.к. одних лишь цифр не всегда достаточно, чтобы оценить погоду, мы добавили различные иконки для разной силы ветра и влажности.
«Ощущаемая» температура
Иногда кажется, что на улице намного холоднее (или теплее) указанной температуры. Это зависит от многих параметров, таких как скорость ветра, влажность и других. Поэтому мы добавили возможность отображения «ощущаемой» температуры, которая учитывает эти факторы.
Обновленный интерфейс настроек
Мы постарались сделать настройку виджетов более простой, логичной и привлекательной.
Стили
Каждый виджет теперь имеет несколько вариантов отображения. Для виджета «Часы» — это привычные цифровые часы с погодой, а также несколько видов аналоговых часов.
Каждый виджет – отдельное приложение
Каждый виджет теперь является самостоятельным приложением. Вы можете закреплять их на панели задач, вы можете запускать сколько угодно копий одного виджета.
Новый виджет – Погода
Виджет отображает только погоду. Имеется 3 стиля. Поддерживает выбор провайдера погоды и отображение «ощущаемой» температуры.
HTC Home Extras – это различные дополнения, которые расширяют функциональность виджетов. Это могут быть провайдеры погоды, ресурсы и т.д. Для установки дополнений, просто перетащите их на исполняемый файл любого виджета (Clock.exe, Weather.exe). Удалить их вы можете в настройках, на вкладке Extras.
