This product detection tool installs software on your Microsoft Windows device that allows HP to detect and gather data about your HP and Compaq products to provide quick access to support information and solutions. Technical data is gathered for the products supported by this tool and is used to identify products, provide relevant solutions and automatically update this tool, to improve our products, solutions, services, and your experience as our customer.
Note: This tool applies to Microsoft Windows PC’s only. This tool will detect HP PCs and HP printers.

- Computer vendor
- Product name/number
- Serial number
- Connection port
- Driver/device description
- Computer and/or printer configuration
- Hardware and software diagnostics
- HP/Non-HP ink and/or HP/Non-HP Toner
- Number of pages printed
Installed Software Details:
- HP Support Solutions Framework — Windows Service, localhost Web server, and Software
Removing Installed Software:
- Remove «HP Support Solutions Framework» through Add/Remove programs on PC

Как установить

- Софт устанавливается из фирменного магазина Microsoft Store. Соответственно, переходим ниже, находим кнопку и, воспользовавшись ею, отправляемся по нужной ссылке.
- При помощи соответствующего управляющего элемента запускаем процесс бесплатной установки.
- Когда инсталляция завершится, вы можете открыть программу.
Как пользоваться
Перед тем как перейти к использованию, обязательно открываем настройки фото, устанавливаем режим работы с цветом, размер страницы, конфигурируем источник и так далее. Также тут можно указать тип конечного файла, его разрешение и сжатие.

HP Scan and Capture lets you capture documents from either your scanner or your PC’s camera. It offers a variety of functionalities, including exporting scans into various formats as well as reordering your documents. It’s entirely safe for use and malware-free.
Features
Automatic device scanning means that wirelessly or via cable, HP Scan and Capture will attempt to connect to your scanner or printer. It also offers several basic editing features, including rotate, crop, change format, save as PDF, reorder, and the ability to save several scans in a multi-page document.
Requirements & updates
To run and install this free program, you’ll need a computer that currently has Windows 10 installed. You’ll also, of course, require internet access to download the program, though this isn’t needed to use it. HP updates this software often, so be sure to update the app frequently. This frequency of updates ensures that software bugs are dealt with efficiently.
Connectivity issues & alternative
If you’re experiencing issues with the software, it could be that your specific device is incompatible. It can also mean that your scanner isn’t connected correctly or that you need to refresh to find newly available devices.
As an alternative, you can always use Windows Fax and Scan, which is the built-in scanning program for Windows, though it lacks advanced features. However, both this software and the inbuilt program have been superseded by newer utilities that offer greater functionality. You can also try HP Prints and Scan Doctor.
Our take
It’s a small program that you can download directly from HP. The installation is speedy upon opening. This, paired with the fact that it’s easy to use, makes it a great choice if you just need something that does the job well. We’re, overall, very impressed. The only downside is that it lacks more advanced features for editing.

HP Scan and Capture is a Windows utility for scanning text documents and pictures. It supports a wide range of HP hardware, including networked devices. Users can adjust various settings such as resolution, brightness, contrast and color mode.
Scanning options
After starting the program it will automatically detect all connected compatible HP scanners and cameras. You are able to scan either text documents or photos. The next step is to tune the output quality parameters like output file type, page size and compression level. It is possible to scan double sided pages as well.
