Вместе с обновлением фирменной операционной системы для мобильных устройств – iOS 7 корпорация Apple представила и новую версию медиапроигрывателя iTunes (айтюнс) для Windows и Mac OS. Мультимедиа плеер от Apple — это не только средство для воспроизведения и организации музыки и фильмов, но и доступ к онлайн-магазину iTunes Store, где имеется огромный выбор видео и музыки, книг и приложений для iOS. Айтюнс совместим со всеми моделями мобильных устройств от Apple: iPod, iPhone, iPad.
В новом iTunes 11.1.0.126 появились некоторые новые функции и улучшения, в частности такие, как «радио iTunes», возвращена функция «Genius», а также возможность синхронизации с устройствами под управлением iOS 7 и другие.

- Радио iTunes — это лучший способ открывать всё новое в мире музыки. Вы можете выбирать более чем из 250 станций или создать собственную радиостанцию из своих любимых музыкальных композиций. Обратите внимание, что при подписке на iTunes Match реклама в Радио iTunes отображаться не будет.
- Genius — позволит в буквальном смысле по-новому переслушать вашу музыкальную коллекцию. Genius представляет собой функцию перемешивания, которая на основе ваших предпочтений создаёт и воспроизводит плейлист из музыкальных треков, довольно интересно и необычно сочетающихся между собой.
- Подкасты (видеовещание в Интернете) — вы можете создавать свои собственные станции из любимых подкастов. Появление новых выпусков будет осуществляться в них автоматически, при этом станции, подписки и все места приостановки воспроизведения будут синхронизированы через iCloud.
- Поддержка устройств на платформе iOS 7. Стало возможным использование iTunes 11 для подключения и синхронизации медиа контента на мобильные устройства под управлением iOS 7, включая iPhone, iPad и iPod touch.

IPSW Downloads has supported downloading iTunes versions for many years, however recently this
task has become too challenging to maintain.
As of iTunes 12.9, Apple no longer provide a direct download to the macOS versions of iTunes —
they are only available via the macOS Mojave (and later) App Store.
This means that IPSW Downloads cannot retrieve the iTunes versions or download files, and
therefore is unable to keep them up to date. IPSW Downloads will freeze its current iTunes versions and
no longer attempt to find information about new ones.
iTunes 12.8 for macOS and iTunes 12.9 for Windows will be the last available iTunes downloads on
ipsw.me and on the IPSW Downloads API.

Freeware
Freeware programs can be downloaded used free of charge and without any time limitations. Freeware products can be used free of charge for both personal and professional (commercial use).
Open Source

This license is commonly used for video games and it allows users to download and play the game for free. In some cases, ads may be show to the users.
Demo
Demo programs have a limited functionality for free, but charge for an advanced set of features or for the removal of advertisements from the program’s interfaces. In some cases, all the functionality is disabled until the license is purchased. Demos are usually not time-limited (like Trial software) but the functionality is limited.
Trial
Trial software allows the user to evaluate the software for a limited amount of time. After that trial period (usually 15 to 90 days) the user can decide whether to buy the software or not. Even though, most trial software products are only time-limited some also have feature limitations.
Paid
Usually commercial software or games are produced for sale or to serve a commercial purpose.

An avid Windows fanboy might see bringing Apple elements to their desktop as a form of contamination, and similarly, those especially partial to Cupertino produce have been known to reject any remnant of Microsoft’s OS. But not everybody thinks this way, and having seen (and used) some great OS X themes for Windows in the past, a new, iOS 7-based skin for Windows 8 and Windows 7 has just caught my eye. It looks fantastic, and as well as taking many design cues from Apple’s latest mobile software release, also borrows from OS X for a truly unique desktop experience.
I use Windows and OS X (and even Google’s Chrome OS) on a daily basis, and while there’s a lot I love about Windows, I do rather admire the overall appearance of the Mac UI. The iOS 7 theme for Windows 8 (and 7) is intended to emulate the look of Apple’s mobile operating system, but because of the nature of Windows being a desktop-like environment (despite the recent touch-based support), it arguably appears more similar to OS X.
Not that this is a bad thing though. The folks behind this skin seem to have found a nice balance between the two, and considering how Apple is also in the process of amalgamating its two key ecosystems, the crossover doesn’t come as much of a surprise.
Akin to the latest version of iOS, icons within this theme are clean and flat, and considering this is the first time we’ve seen the iOS 7 look plastered on a desktop, we’d say that the look works for the most part.
You also get iOS 6 / OS X-like folders, and the dock along the bottom is once again a Mac feature iOS 7-ified thanks to the crisp, ironed-out icons.
Installing this particular skin is easy thanks to the online installer, which takes you through every step to ensure the new look is achieved without so much as a hitch. Not only is it compatible with the latest Windows 8.1, but also Windows 8 and Windows 7.
So, if you’ve been on the hunt for a decent, Apple-like look on your Windows device, be sure to give this one a try. It is free, after all, and since it’s pretty thorough, you won’t need to be scratching around for additional theming elements after installation.
