I dare to say Windows 7 Ultimate is much more reliable than any version of Windows OS ever. Even Windows 10 is not more reliable than Win 7, and constant updates will never let it claim to be the most reliable OS. Windows 8 is not worth mentioning as it could not win over a single feature of Win7, the Start menu.

Backup is the first (or second or third) word that comes to mind when someone talks about the reliability of a system. You can create a backup with a built-in backup utility program. You choose to either create a local disk backup or a backup to network storage media.

Bitlocker is the most secure and reliable solution to data encryption. You can lock a partition with Bitlocker, which is a built-in feature of Windows Seven Ultimate.
