Microsoft DirectX® is already included in Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.0, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows Server equivalents. This DirectX End-User Runtime does not change the version of DirectX, but does install a number of optional side-by-side technologies from the legacy DirectX SDK that are used by some older games. Note that Desktop Bridge applications that use D3DX9, D3DX10, D3DX11, XAudio 2.7, XInput 1.3, or XACT must use the Microsoft.DirectX.x86 / Microsoft.DirectX.x64 framework to deploy these legacy DirectX SDK side-by-side components. Инсталляция
Бесплатно загрузить нужную версию библиотеки вы можете с нашего портала. Перед инсталляцией удостоверьтесь, что версия операционной системы на ПК не меньше Windows XP SP 2 (если нет соответствующего пакета обновлений, его нужно поставить). Откройте полученный файл с расширением exe. В приветственном окне отобразятся лицензионные условия DirectX.
Ознакомьтесь с ними, если это требуется, и нажмите Yes. Теперь укажите каталог для извлечения файлов. Желательно создать отдельную папку, например, в корневом разделе диска. Нажмите Browse, выберите расположение и подтвердите. Дождитесь извлечения, а затем в проводнике откройте его. Здесь вы найдете огромное количество архивов, несколько библиотек dll и DXSETUP.exe, его и следует открыть.
В новом окне опять согласитесь с лицензионными условиями и дважды кликните на кнопку «Далее». Завершающий этап — копирование файлов. Просто дождитесь этой процедуры и закройте окно.

Решение проблем
Если вы скачаете DirectX June 2010, но при попытке открытия файла возникнет ошибка (аналогично с DXSETUP.exe), то стоит воспользоваться следующей инструкцией:

DirectX 10 на компьютер
В десятой версии DirectX разработчики не просто улучшили уже имеющиеся технологии, а радикально изменили подход к обсчету спецэффектов, который полностью перенесли на графический процессор. Производительность CPU стала использоваться для других вычислительных операций. В результате инновационного решения ключевым аппаратным устройством, обеспечивающим высокий уровень FPS в играх, стала видеокарта. Конечно, производительность центрального процессора и оперативной памяти тоже имела большое значение, но не настолько важное, как в играх, разработанных под DX 9.x.
В обновленном Директ Икс 10 появились новые технологии графики, улучшающие следующие аспекты визуализации: динамическое освещение, анимацию растений, мягкость теней, детализацию ландшафта, плотность частиц в спецэффектах, качество отражений на металле и на поверхности воды, а также многое другое. Полная аппаратная поддержка десятой версии DirectX была реализована только в Windows Vista – появление нового поколения продукта Microsoft стало началом конца для XP. Позже, когда на основе Vista была создана «Семерка», от так называемой «Хрюши» отказались практически все, кроме любителей и обладателей очень слабых ПК.
