UBNT Device Discovery tool is an app which is used to locate the devices or discover the ubiquity devices near you, you can filter the devices in different categories Unifi, Airmax, EdgeMAX or you can search the devices with its name. Once you are done with the locating and discovering of the device it will give you some information about the device like its IP address, MacBook address, and its version.
It is a very useful app for finding an IP address or MAC address devices on your network. Currently, its two versions are available as an extension with google chrome and its java version.

После завершения установки Java, перейдем на сайт Ubiquiti Networks и скачаем утилиту Device Discovery Tool: https://www.ubnt.com/support/downloads/utilities

Скачиваем утилиту Device Discovery Tool для всех платформ.

Запускаем утилиту Device Discovery Tool при помощи Java.

В появившемся окне программы Device Discovery Tool, нажимаем кнопку «Scan» для обнаружения устройств Ubiquiti Networks.

В списке устройств, в колонке Product Name отображены типы устройств, присутствующие в сети: Bullet M5 — Ubiquiti Bullet M5 HP, NanoStation5 — Ubiquiti NanoStation5, NanoStation5 — Ubiquiti NanoStation5 loco. В колонке IP Address отображены IP адреса устройств в сети (почему-то, в списке отображаются IP адреса проводных интерфейсов устройств, работающих в режиме роутера). Колонка Hardware-Address содержит mac-адреса устройств. System Name содержит имена, которые мы присвоили устройствам Ubiquiti Networks. Firmware Version – версия операционной системы.

Выбираем устройство из списка, и дважды кликаем на нем. Появляется окно, в котором отображается информация Uptime (время беспрерывной работы). Также можно видеть IP адрес беспроводного интерфейса.

Выбираем IP адрес беспроводного интерфейса, кликаем Web UI.

После нажатия клавиши «Web UI» запустится браузер и окно авторизации устройства. Вводим логин и пароль.
Можно переходить к настройкам.

Why oh why does the app allow me to update? Once again I lost my controllers, and must now go to the client sites to get them back.
It was bad. Could not connect or detect the device. I will throw it away as it is impossible to configure or manage devices.
This app is great and shows me all of my network devices. However, I recommend that the device count be set to chrome extension. Once it is done, please let me know.
Ubiquiti must pull it off! Windows! JAVA! ! These devices don’t have to be so difficult to set up. Their entire product line will be discontinued and replaced by companies that can get it. The UBNT Software needs a complete overhaul and should be catching up to the hardware division. These are so embarrassing for me that I don’t want to put them on the ceiling/wall. Say goodbye! You can throw it in the garbage!
My ERX router is found, but it does not find the UniFi APs. It would be great to get an update. It is essential to have at minimum an option that allows you to «discover all_ online devices», as a diagnostic and debugging tool.
It doesn’t detect the pico, or any other ubiquiti device that I am connected to. There is only one mesh device
Unifi Discovery Tool for PC/Mac can be used to find and adopt an AP. This android app cannot adopt, but it can discover. It is a bad idea to call this the same as the PC/Mac tool.
It doesn’t function well after scanning devices, then app went slow, and it can’t touch another device. Administrator should fix it.
Latest version installed. There’s nothing more than a spinning donut like others and I am *connected* through my network via the ubiquiti AP.
Amazing UI The UI is very simple and has many configuration options. You have all the options that you need. It also displays statistics and status for the networks, which makes it easy to spot unusual activity. It makes it simple to locate devices in the event of network failures or other undocumented changes. It doesn’t seem to be able to handle blueprints as well as the controller, although fortunately/unfortunately I do not work in any large company that would make this a problem.
