Для того, чтобы корректным образом произвести настройку японских печатающих устройств от компании Canon? Требуется установка драйверов. Как сделать все правильно и получить на выходе работающее устройство, расскажем в нашей пошаговой инструкции. Отправным пунктом станет необходимость скачать драйвера для принтера Canon PIXMA TS5040. Это делаем либо по гиперссылке выше, либо в соответствующем разделе официального сайта. После завершения загрузки запускаем дистрибутив установщика и ждем загрузки главной страницы. Там нажимаем по зеленой кнопке «Начать настройку».
Выбираем настройки геолокации. Верным образом они будут выглядеть так: регион проживания – «Европа, Ближний Восток, Африка», страна проживания – «Россия». Переходим «Далее».
Читаем условия лицензионного договора на использование объектов интеллектуального права компании и принимаем текст нажатием «Да».
Разрешаем драйверам сбор и отправку производителю данных об устройстве. Для этого нажимаем «Принимаю».
Временно отключаем антивирусное обеспечение, чтобы случайно не заблокировать драйвер. Ставим отметку напротив опции «Отключение блокировки». Затем переходим «Далее».
Из предложенных методов подключения, выбираем опцию «подключение USB». Переходим «Далее».
Отключаем дата-кабель (если он был подключен), после чего щелкаем по кнопке «Далее».
Ждем, пока завершится копирование новых файлов драйвера. Это занимает обычно 5-6 минут.
Присоединяем дата-кабель к компьютеру и к принтеру, нажимаем кнопку питания и ждем окончания настройки. Это программа сделает самостоятельно.

The driver is an application provided by Canon itself to help Canon Printer users to easily control various features and functions in the printer.
Without a driver on the PIXMA TS5040 printer, some functions and features of the Printer cannot be controlled via a computer. If the driver is not installed first, the computer cannot detect the printer at all.

The Canon PIXMA TS5040 is a multifunctional printer for the home or small office with features and characteristics that are quite interesting and useful. The Canon PIXMA TS5040 multifunction printer uses “piezo-electric inkjet” printing technology. The paper size is A4, besides that, the device can print photos well thanks to the 5 ink bottles that are on the printer.
The maximum resolution of the Canon PIXMA TS5040 is capable of printing up to 4,800 x 1,200 (black and white and color). The black & white mode print speed is 12 images per minute, and the color speed is 9, quite attractive for this affordable printer.
This printer is also equipped with a scanner that has a standard size of 216 x 297 millimeters, which is A4 paper format. The PIXMA TS5040 is capable of recognizing images with a depth of 48 bits and the maximum resolution is 1,200 by 2,400.

Actually, Canon Official has provided the driver CD that was included in the box when purchasing the printer for the first time, but because it is rarely used the CD is usually lost or even damaged by itself.
If you are experiencing this problem, don’t worry because you can still install the driver without the CD by using the installation file provided below. By using the installation file, the Canon PIXMA TS5040 printer installation process will be easier and you can even install it directly on your computer.

Canon TS5040 Installation Guide
To install the Canon TS5040 Printer driver, the method is actually the same as how to install Windows applications in general, but so that you are not confused here I will explain the steps for installing regular drivers without additional software.
Please download the driver file below first, if the printer is currently connected to the computer, delete it first. After that, please refer to the following steps:
1. “Double-click the downloaded driver file.
2. “In the “Welcome” window, select Next.
3. “Select the location “Your Location” then Next.
4. “When the agreement window appears select Yes.
5. “Wait for the installation process to complete.
6. “Connect the printer to the computer.
7. “When the successful installation notification window appears, select Finish.
At this point you have successfully installed the Canon TS5040 driver, you can immediately use the printer to print or restart the computer first so that the driver can run optimally.
