The Asus Pce-ac68 driver is the software that allows a user to make changes to the settings of their Asus pce-ac68 router.

The front of the network module is completely covered by a red anodized aluminum heat sink. The shape of the heatsink, of course, is primarily focused on appearance, but the fins are enough to effectively dissipate the generated heat. The connection interface is PCI Express x1 2.0.
The back side of the board is not protected. This fact is worth considering when installing in a PCI-Express x1 slot, which is often above the first full-size x16 – elements can be accidentally shorted by a large CPU heatsink.
Antennas of Asus PCE-AC68
On the end of the card are standard RP-SMA connectors. Also between the connectors is a blue activity diode, which shines well too brightly.
By the way, you can attach to the RP-SMA connectors both an extension unit and directly to the antennae. This will be handy in case of building mini-builds or HTPCs.
AC68 network chip
The heart of the PCE-AC68 is the Broadcom BCM4360 SoC, supporting 80 MHz per channel and 256-QAM when connected to 5 GHz IEEE 802.11ac networks. Expectedly, such a solution warms up the not insignificant heatsink well. It is worth watching the temperature of the network module when installing in poorly ventilated enclosures.
External antenna module PCE-AC68
The external antenna module has a simple triangular shape. Thanks to the vendor for the lack of glossiness – the surface is made of plastic which is quite damage-resistant and does not collect fingerprints.
The issue with the installation of the external module is perfectly solved. Here you have a magnet and soft coating – you can easily hang it on the PC case without fear to damage or scratch its surface.

The cooling seems to be too technical and this metal heat sink occupies the entire width of a map in one location.
